      Dear Families of GME,

At GME, we believe in building strong relationships that promote high achievement! For the 2016-17 school year, Graham Mesa Elementary continues to take this philosophy to new heights as our school is configured in instructional blocks for Reading, Writing, Math, Social Studies and Science for 1stthrough 4th grades. We are dedicated to meeting the specific needs of all the students as well as meeting the expectations of the standards for the 21st century. As a school, we believe that having dedicated content area teachers at each grade level will offer the benefits of higher quality and consistent instruction for all of our students.

Each day all students will receive instruction in Reading, Writing, Social Studies, Math, and Science from a teacher who is passionate about kids and their content area. Students will be assigned to a homeroom to begin and end their day. They will rotate through each content class in their grade level to receive appropriate challenges that can maximize their learning potential. Students benefit because they are exposed to the instructional wisdom of more than one teacher. Parent communication will come home from all the teachers that your child works with to continue to foster the strong relationships that we have built between home and school.

GME is excited to get to know all of our students and inspire them to be lifelong learners! Should you have any questions or concerns, please feel free to contact us.. We look forward to working with each of you to make your child’s next school year an exceptional experience. As you know, learning happens everywhere here at Graham Mesa Elementary.
